Experience the Frick's museums and grounds in new ways during the 10th annual Remake Learning Day! Visitors of all ages will enjoy artmaking, live performance, a site-wide special scavenger hunt, and many other fun activities.

Explore the first floor of Clayton, the last remaining home of its kind in Pittsburgh, standing as a testament to another era and offering unique insights into our city's past. Deepen your experience with hands-on activities!
$5 per person. Members enter free. Tickets can be purchased at the Grable Visitor Center or at the link below.

Hill Dance Academy Theatre
Frick Art Museum Auditorium
Youth dancers from Hill Dance Academy Theatre will bring silhouettes and ideas from the Kara Walker: Harper’s Pictorial History of the Civil War (Annotated) exhibition to life to celebrate the end of this once-in-a-lifetime show.
Free admission to Kara Walker: Harper’s Pictorial History of the Civil War (Annotated) is available for Allegheny County library card holders through RAD Pass at radpass.org.
Please Note: Kara Walker: Harper's Pictorial History of the Civil War (Annotated) contains sensitive imagery and descriptive content related to instances of racially motivated violence in the Civil War South.
There is a reflection space as part of the exhibition, and images of the exhibition are available at the Grable Visitor Center for visitors interested in previewing the show's content before entering.

Throughout the Frick's Grounds
Scavenger Hunt
Put on your detective hat and explore the Frick's grounds on a special scavenger hunt! Brownie the dog is hiding all over the Frick — can you find every one of his hiding places? Visit the Grable Visitor Center to claim a prize once you've spotted them all!
Walking Path
Wander the walking path and explore the Frick's 10-acre site. Turn an ear to history with the Duquesne SoundWalk, adding a new layer of dimensionality to your experience!
Greenhouse
Explore our active greenhouse, a renovation and partial reconstruction of one that served the Frick family from 1897 through the 1970s.

Pittsburgh Builds Bridges
The Orchard, the sidewalk between the Frick Education Center and Greenhouse, the Frick Art Museum
How do you build bridges between people?
Make chalk art throughout the day on the Frick's sidewalk in response to this core question behind Ebtehal Badawi's Pittsburgh Builds Bridges initiative that encourages connection, inclusion, and compassion through community artmaking and conversation.
From 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM only, meet with the artist behind the initiative, Ebtehal Badawi, in the Frick's orchard to build a popup collaborative bridge using upcycled materials!
An example of Ebtehal's trademark Pittsburgh Builds Bridges collaborative painting is also currently on display in the Frick Art Museum for observation and reflection.

Singing Winds Food Pantry
Grable Visitor Center
Donate nonperishable food to the Singing Winds Food Pantry, a branch of the Council of Three Rivers American Indian Center that serves low-income families and individuals experiencing food insecurity in Allegheny County. A collection bin will be located inside the Grable Visitor Center.

Experience the Frick's permanent collections of fine and decorative arts, along with our current temporary exhibition, Kara Walker: Harper's Pictorial History of the Civil War (Annotated).

Car and Carriage Museum
Travel back to the time of horse-drawn carriages, see some of the first horseless carriages to have an impact on Pittsburgh, and learn about Pittsburgh's role in the developing automobile industry.
